I've received a few emails from commenters asking me what happened to my last three entries debating Madonna. I deleted them. Why? Because it never ceases to amaze me how completely hateful and disrespectful people can be. We're all allowed a difference of opinion. My apologies to the people who left thoughtful and insightful comments. Unfortunately, my email got clogged up with mean messages. Funny that people would use hate to defend Madonna for being a humanitarian. It's one thing I hate about the internet. People assume they know you because of one thing you post and then based on that one post, they tear into you as a person and attack your character. Even the toughest person can only take so much. I know Madonna has a legion of devoted fans, I used to be one of them. It was amazing how quickly they turned on me when my feelings about her changed. Hateful is the only word I can find to describe it. Those of you who spread that kind of needless hatred around the internet should take a good look inside yourself. In the end, it's your karma that will get you. I'm proud of the person I am and how hard I work at making a positive difference in this world. I'm opinionated just like everyone else and I'm also a writer who uses his blog as a way to air his views. No matter how grand my disagreement with someone may be, I would never use hate or disrespect as a way to get my point across. Again, thank you to the intelligent people who left thoughtful passionate comments. As always, thank you so much for reading. If you haven't read the post below this one, please do so as it talks about my friends who lost their home in a fire last Friday.
Peace to you and yours.
